More than $160 million for new and upgraded social and affordable housing in Campbelltown headlines a NSW Budget package delivering cost-of-living relief and major infrastructure investment across the region.
The 2026-27 NSW State Budget also includes funding for a new primary school and early learning centre at Menangle Park, continued upgrades to Appin Road, a new Service NSW Centre at Macarthur Square, expanded bus services and ongoing investment in the Warranmadhaa (Georges River Koala) National Park.
Member for Campbelltown Greg Warren welcomed the Budget, saying it delivers both immediate household relief and long-term investment in the region.
“This is a responsible budget that not only supports our local households to manage cost-of-living pressures, but provides forward thinking projects that will match population growth with appropriate infrastructure and access to services,” he said.
Among the major local commitments are:
- More than $160 million for new social and affordable housing and upgrades to existing properties.
- $4.5 million to establish a new primary school and co-located early learning centre at Menangle Park.
- $27.5 million in joint State and Federal funding for Appin Road upgrades and koala protection infrastructure.
- $6.9 million to continue work on Warranmadhaa (Georges River Koala) National Park.
- $2.5 million to continue development of the new Service NSW Centre at Macarthur Square.
- $59 million across Western Sydney to support new bus services, including Macarthur Heights and Menangle.
- Funding for 24 school crossing supervisors across Campbelltown.
The Budget also delivers widespread cost-of-living support, including a $100 vehicle registration discount, frozen Opal fares, lower toll caps and energy bill assistance for households.
“I welcome this budget and the significant commitments made to our Campbelltown community and to the South Western Sydney region more broadly,” Warren said.
