A Camden Chrissy has taken over the local area recently with the community Christmas trees in Camden and Oran Park now lit every evening.

Residents are reminded to have some fun and take their photos in front of the Christmas Bauble on the corner of Argyle and John Streets in Camden.

Don’t forget to post your photo on social media using the hashtag #acamdenchrissy.

As part of A Camden Chrissy, Council is also encouraging residents to dig deep and support the local charities chosen for their Christmas Giving Appeal.

This year, Council is supporting Blue Wren House Camden Women’s Shelter, which provides safe accommodation for women and their children who are escaping homelessness due to domestic or family violence, and Shining Stars Foundation, a not-for-profit focusing on the less fortunate, homelessness and disabilities.

“Christmas is the time of giving and there is no better way than to help someone who is truly in need,” a Council spokesperson said.

“Any amount donated will go a long way to helping those who these two fantastic organisations support, so dig deep and help in any way you can.”
