Campbelltown will swap winter for island spirit when the Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner returns in 2026 with a vibrant Hawaiian-themed evening at Ottimo House.
Held on Saturday 8 August, the gala will bring together residents, businesses and community members for a night of live entertainment, food, music, prizes and connection, all in support of The Blue Butterfly Institute.
This volunteer organisation provides care, support and advocacy for victims and survivors of sexual trauma, with funds from the gala helping expand its services and support trauma education, training and community learning.
“Each year, the Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner brings our community together in support of an organisation making a genuine impact,” Mayor Darcy Lound said.
“This year’s recipient, The Blue Butterfly Institute, works tirelessly to support people navigating challenging times, ensuring they feel heard, valued and supported.”
Founder Tina Meyer said the support would help the organisation continue changing lives.
“The support of Mayor Lound and Campbelltown Council ensure that The Blue Butterfly Institute and its volunteers can continue to provide therapeutic services and education and training regarding the impact of trauma to the broader community, enabling significant change in people’s lives,” she said.
Lound invited the community to get behind the event by sponsoring the gala or buying a ticket.
