Campbelltown is set to celebrate International Women’s Day with a vibrant, free wellbeing event in the heart of the city.
On Monday 9 March, Forum Q and Lithgow Street will come alive from 10am to 2pm with market stalls, self-care sessions and empowerment activities delivered in partnership with The Benevolent Society and Eat Shop Love.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, Balance the Scales, is a call to action, a reminder that equality and fairness require collective effort.
“International Women’s Day is an opportunity to come together and reflect on the contributions and achievements of women in Campbelltown and across Australia,” said Mayor Darcy Lound.
He added, “This year’s celebration is a chance for our community to join us in our city centre and champion wellbeing, self-improvement and empowerment opportunities for local women and consider how we can do our part to support women across Macarthur.”
Visitors can browse community stalls, explore wellbeing initiatives and even drop into limited Puppy Yoga sessions at the historic Glenalvon House courtyard between 11am and 1pm, guided exercises paired with playful puppy interaction.
Meanwhile, The Benevolent Society will lead a collaborative women’s artwork installation, inviting attendees to leave their mark on a piece that will later be displayed at Forum Q and HJ Daley Library.
“I strongly encourage everyone to come together and join us for another important year of our International Women’s Day celebrations,” Lound said.
