Koshigaya Park is set to glow this July as Campbelltown’s much-loved Chill Fest returns with ice-skating, winter lights, rides, games, food, entertainment and even timed snowfall.
Running from 3 to 19 July, the annual winter celebration will once again transform the city’s heart into a frosty playground for families these school holidays.
“Chill Fest has become one of Campbelltown’s most loved annual events,” Mayor Darcy Lound said, adding it gave families the chance to enjoy winter fun while welcoming visitors from across Sydney.
Festival favourites will include outdoor ice-skating, amusement rides, sideshow games, live entertainment, roaming performers and the popular Winter Village, where visitors can toast marshmallows by the firepit and enjoy a range of food and drink options.
Lound said he was proud the festival remained “accessible and inclusive for all,” with the return of a dedicated Quiet Session for visitors living with disability and their carers.
“I strongly encourage everyone to rug up, and experience Koshigaya Park transformed with winter lights, ice skating, delicious food, family rides and entertainment for all ages,” he said.
The two-hour Quiet Session will run without lights, music or announcements, with limited places available through an expression of interest form on Council’s website.
The festival opens on Friday 3 July, with the opening night celebration from 6pm. Ride and ice rink tickets will be available through Council’s website before opening night.
