Wollondilly Council’s Library and Children’s Services teams initiated an intergenerational program involving residents at RSL Lifecare, John Goodlet Manor, and children from Wollondilly Preschool.

Six older participants visited the preschool, engaging in activities like morning tea, singing, storytelling, and painting based on a childhood-themed reminiscence kit provided by the library.

The session aimed to foster social interaction and memory-sharing, benefiting both older participants and preschool children.

It marked the beginning of an 8-week program funded by the NSW Government’s Connecting Seniors Grant, with future sessions planned to include Picton High School, Wollondilly Anglican College, and Waratah Highlands Village.
