Camden’s small businesses will get hands-on help to sharpen their digital skills, with free training covering everything from AI and cybersecurity to websites, online sales and digital marketing.

Camden Council is partnering with the Australian Government and Australian School of Employment to deliver the Digital Solutions Program from 2026 to 2030.

The first local workshop, Build Your Brand in Canva, will be held at Camden Civic Centre on Thursday, October 29, from 6.15pm to 8.30pm as part of Small Business Month 2026.

The program will offer free face-to-face workshops, webinars, online tutorials and resources covering digital marketing, websites, selling online, business software, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data privacy.

Eligible businesses can also access expert mentoring pathways, including up to five hours of private one-on-one digital business mentoring, subject to Australian Government co-contribution requirements.

Camden Mayor Vince Ferreri said the initiative would help local businesses keep pace with rapidly changing technology.

“Small businesses are so important to our local economy, and we want to make sure they have the skills and confidence to go after digital opportunities available to them,” he said.

“This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for local business owners to learn from experts, explore new technologies and develop practical skills they can put to work in their businesses straight away.”

Up to four practical face-to-face workshops will be delivered in the Camden area each financial year, supported by webinars and on-demand learning.

“There will be opportunities for businesses at every stage of their digital journey, so I really do encourage all eligible businesses to check it out,” Ferreri said.
