A nameless Bull is Macarthur FC’s newest team member, all set to make its debut at the first home game of the New Year on Wednesday, 5 January, 2022, at Campbelltown Stadium against Perth Glory.
“The launch of our official mascot, together with Macarthur Square, is yet another significant milestone at our Club; and I guess it is no surprise that our official mascot is a bull,” said Natalie Matich, General Manager Operations, Macarthur FC.
The mascot pays tribute to the South Western Sydney region’s 1795 runaway herd and club colours, making it a great representation of the region and a welcome addition to the talented line up at Macarthur FC.
The Bull has been busy training hard and cheering on his new teammates, however, is missing one important part of his identity, his name. This potential on field favourite is eager to step onto the pitch at Campbelltown Stadium and hear the fans ringing their cowbells and chanting his name.
Macarthur FC invites members, fans and locals to help in naming the official mascot. Supported by Macarthur Square, anyone can submit their name suggestion, earning the winner a special place in the club’s history.
“We are looking for a name that is reflective and honours our past, present, and future. The new mascot demonstrates the great passion the members of our community have when they see the Bull in action, not to mention a remarkable ability to bring delight to the crowds,” said Trevor Hill, Centre Manager, Macarthur Square.
The winner will not only be the first to meet the new recruit, but will also be provided with a special opportunity at an upcoming home game with Macarthur FC and will receive a family pass to the game and a dining voucher to redeem at Macarthur Square pre-match.
Entries to name the Bull close on Thursday, 30 December at 5pm AEDT.
Submissions can be made online CLICK HERE or in-centre at the official Macarthur FC Experience Store on Level 3 at Macarthur Square.
