The future of education in Sydney’s south west is taking shape, with a topping out ceremony marking the completion of structural works for the new Edmondson Park High School.
“I am delighted to mark this significant milestone,” said Member for Macquarie Fields Anoulack Chanthivong MP.
“The new school will mean more opportunities for local students, reduced travel time and access to modern facilities.”
Located adjacent to Edmondson Park Public School on Buchan Avenue and set to open Day 1, Term 1, 2027, the school will cater for up to 800 students. It features 37 modern classrooms, specialist hubs for science, technology, performing arts and fitness, as well as a library, lecture theatre, canteen, sports field and multi-sports courts.
Federal Member for Werriwa, Anne Stanley MP, called the event “a pivotal moment for our community,” adding, “local families and young students have been keenly waiting for a new high school in Edmondson Park to meet demand.”
The $3.9 billion investment through the NSW Government’s 2025-26 Budget is part of a broader plan to rebuild public education across Western Sydney, ensuring growing suburbs like Edmondson Park have access to world-class learning.
