Artists have just under a week left to submit their entries in the 61st Annual Fisher’s Ghost Art Award. Entries close on Friday 1 September.
Featuring a diverse range of categories and artistic mediums, the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award is one of Western Sydney’s premier art competitions.
“The Fisher’s Ghost Art Award has attracted works from some of Australia’s most respected and acclaimed contemporary artists over many decades,” Mayor George Greiss said.
There is more than $60,000 in prize money up for grabs, with the prestigious acquisitive Open Award valued at $50,000.
Up to two artworks can be entered in the different categories with exhibition finalists selected by a panel and judged by three industry professionals who will collectively choose the winners for each category and award.
All Primary and Secondary students may enter one artwork and will be automatic finalists for exhibition.
The Art Award exhibition coincides with Campbelltown’s Festival of Fisher’s Ghost and will be held from Saturday 28 October to Friday 8 December.
