Glenfield’s new urban bike park is beginning to take shape, with construction now underway at Seddon and Kennett Park on a major new riding space designed for all ages, skill levels and abilities.
The Glenfield Urban Bike Park will create a new hub for wheeled sports, giving locals more opportunities to ride, get active and enjoy the outdoors close to home.
At the heart of the project is a new BMX-style track designed to cater to riders of all skill levels, alongside a dedicated bike hub where locals can learn, connect and build confidence through shared riding experiences and healthy activities.
Mayor of Campbelltown Darcy Lound said the project would deliver an important new community asset.
“This is going to be a purpose-built facility and will give our residents with a safe and accessible place to ride and spend time outdoors with their families,” he said.
He added that it was “a great outcome for Glenfield”, saying the park would “create a space where people can get active, try something new and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment”.
Member for Macquarie Fields Anoulack Chanthivong also welcomed the start of works, describing the park as “a fantastic recreational opportunity” that will strengthen the area’s existing sporting facilities and offer the growing community more ways to stay healthy and active.
“I look forward to local families enjoying this exciting new recreational space once complete,” he said.
Expected to be finished by late 2026, the Glenfield Urban Bike Park is funded by the NSW Government through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program and is set to become a valuable new addition to Glenfield’s outdoor recreation network.
