Campbelltown has topped the list in terms of suburbs that have benefitted from the expanded First Home Buyers Assistance scheme.

Member for Campbelltown Greg Warren said that seeing more and more people reach their dream of home ownership in Campbelltown is absolutely fantastic.

“Campbelltown is an amazing place to live and I am pleased that the NSW government’s expanded first home buyers scheme has benefitted only for first home buyers, but also for our community at large,” Mr Warren said.

Recent data reveals that the expanded scheme has allowed over 18,000 people across NSW to achieve their dream of home ownership.

Between 1 July 2023 and 2 February 2024, 228 exemptions and 121 concessions were provided in the Campbelltown area.

This totals a value of $7,427,303 in exemptions and concessions, and a further 349 people who will build lives, open businesses, have families and create a future in the Campbelltown area.

From a Government committed to bringing home ownership into common reach, the First Home Buyers Assistance scheme follows planning reforms that are driving an increase in the number of homes being built in NSW, addressing the housing affordability crisis.
