The Ladies Day has become a highlight in the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur’s annual calendar, and yesterday much fun was had while raising funds to support the Paediatric Cancer Care Unit at Campbelltown Hospital.

At an afternoon at Lakeside Golf Club presented by Deputy Chair Sue McGarrity and young Raphaela Siambis, the event’s gold sponsor Reno Smash Repairs was honoured, Jenny Schmidt gave an insight into how the funds so passionately raised made a huge difference at the hospital, and chairperson Warren Morrison recalled why the late Fred Borg OAM had started the charity: so that all funds raised in Macarthur stayed in Macarthur.

The charity is now gearing up for the return of its signature weekend at Campbelltown Athletics Stadium on October 8th & 9th. Teams can be registered at https://24hrfight.org.au/
