A host of themed workshops and community activities will run throughout Campbelltown till Sunday 12 February as part of NSW Seniors Festival.

Free and paid activities will be offered to residents aged 60 and over, or 50 and over, for those living with disability, or who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

Festival highlights include:

  • Free movie screenings
  • Historical driving tours
  • Library-run social activities
  • Wellness and exercise classes
  • Gardening workshops
  • Meal deals
  • Special exhibitions at Campbelltown Art Centre

“We’re thrilled to offer such a diverse range of activities and events to our senior residents this year,” Mayor of Campbelltown George Greiss said.

“There’s many services and programs for seniors held by Council and other organisations throughout the year and Seniors Week is a great opportunity to highlight what’s available across the local area.”

From Wed 8th to Fri 10th, seniors are in for a treat at Oz Funland. They are invited to enjoy selected pieces from Australia’s biggest Wizard of Oz memorabilia collector, Dorothys Overton’s eclectic collection from Oz cows, teapots & toilet paper to dolls autographed by the original 1939 MGM movie Munchkins.

$10 entry includes Devonshire Tea, Oz Bingo, Oz Trivia Walk, Q&A with Dorothy Overton, and a walk down an actual Yellow Brick Road full of photo opportunities. The venue is wheelchair accessible, ample free parking for buses. Bookings 46267777 or online HERE.
