Described as “the long-awaited memoir of one of Australia’s most enduring and inspiring sporting icons”, Lisa Curry’s tryst with the book shelves has been well received.

The triple Olympian and wellness entrepreneur will be at Gledswood Homestead & Winery on Saturday, June 10, for a book signing over lunch.

“We are delighted to host Lisa Curry at Gledswood for what promises to be a really lively, interactive afternoon,” said Jannike Seiuli, Gledswood’s Events Coordinator.

Ms Curry will no doubt share interesting anecdotes from her life in the public eye for six decades, swimming, family, marriage, divorce, and love found again.

A swimming prodigy who became one of Australia’s first fitness entrepreneurs, Lisa Curry swam to Olympic fame in the ’80s and ’90s.

With celerity and celebrity, she became in equal parts the darling of women’s magazines and tabloid fodder, until, at 58, a family tragedy nearly consumed her.

From the golden girl of Australian swimming to a ‘super mum’ and now a proud grannie, Lisa Curry has a powerful story to tell of endurance and enduring.

Lunch with Lisa is on from 12 to 3pm. Tickets of $115 are available at https://www.gledswood.com.au/event-details/lunch-with-lisa-curry
