Everyone is invited to celebrate the Matildas historic FIFA Women’s World Cup semi-final against England at a live viewing sites hosted by Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly Councils tonight.

People can bring their picnic blankets and chairs to the Campbelltown Athletics Centre to watch the match on the screen. Gates open at 6.30pm with the match kicking off at 8pm.

“The Matildas performances at this World Cup have captured the imagination of Australians everywhere, including Campbelltown’s own Alanna Kennedy,” Mayor of Campbelltown George Greiss said.

“So let your family and friends know and come and enjoy the game with fellow fans at Campbelltown Athletics Centre tomorrow night.”

Light food and refreshments will be available on the night. The event is alcohol free.

Wollondilly Shire Council in partnership with Picton Magpies SRLFC will be live streaming the game at Victoria Park. Gates open at 6pm.

“There are going to be food trucks there and it’s going to be a lovely community night to cheer on the Matildas,” Mayor Matt Gould said.

Fans can bring picnic rugs or chairs.

Camden Council is inviting everyone to come down to Onslow Oval in their green and gold at 6pm.

There are some great food options from The Macarthur Grind, Pizzabuddy, Mr.PIG, Twist Potato Sydney, Sydney Ice Cream and On The Run Café.

This is an alcohol free event.
