Campbelltown’s generosity was on full display at this year’s Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner, with an impressive $44,998.91 raised for The Blue Butterfly Institute.
More than 300 guests came together for the colourful Hawaiian-themed gala, hosted by Campbelltown Mayor Darcy Lound at Ottimo House on Saturday 8 August.
Mayor Lound said the result demonstrated the compassion and community spirit that continues to shine across Campbelltown.
“I’m incredibly proud of what our Campbelltown community has achieved through this year’s Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner,” Lound said.
“Seeing so many local businesses, organisations and individuals come together to support The Blue Butterfly Institute was a wonderful reminder of the generosity and compassion that exists across our community.”
The funds will support The Blue Butterfly Institute’s important work with victims and survivors of sexual trauma, as well as helping expand its awareness, education, training and community learning initiatives.
“The funds raised on the night will help the Institute continue its important work supporting victims and survivors of sexual trauma, while expanding access to awareness, education, training and community learning opportunities,” Lound said.
He also paid tribute to the many people who helped make the gala possible, particularly the volunteers who dedicate their time and expertise to The Blue Butterfly Institute.
“I want to thank everyone who contributed to making the evening such a success, and especially the dedicated volunteers on The Blue Butterfly Institute’s Board, who give their time and expertise to support such important work,” he said.
The Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner was supported by Platinum Sponsor Wests Group Macarthur, with Cameron Brae Group and Marsdens Law Group as Silver Sponsors and Maverick Supports as Bronze Sponsor.
Entertainment sponsors were Macarthur Entertainment, The Enchanted Trove and School of Rock Macarthur.
