From a set of beautifully framed English Fox Hunting wall hangings to Glenn McGrath autographed sports memorabilia and lunch at Parliament House, a large catalogue will go on auction next Friday to raise funds for Dementia Research.
Camden Rotary Club is conducting its very first online-only Mega Auction with an aim to raise $20,000 in net funds.
Dementia is the second leading cause of death in Australia. It is estimated to affect 1 million Australians by 2056 unless a treatment can be found.
“As you know, this disease is terrible for the sufferers as well as their families and carers,” said Rotary’s Cliff Reece. “So we hope that many people will help the cause by participating in the auction.”
All proceeds from the auction will fund an Australian Rotary Health research project into dementia. Australian Rotary Health is one of the largest non-government funders of mental health research in Australia.
Over 80 items for sale can be viewed at https://auctions.mooreallen.co.uk/auctions , by scrolling down to the Rotary Club of Camden auction and hitting View Catalog.
