Create NSW’s Craig Donarski will bring his arts industry expertise to Camden next month, giving Macarthur creatives an opportunity to learn how to turn their ideas into funded projects and new opportunities.
Donarski, Senior Western Sydney Programs Lead at Create NSW, will be the special guest at Camden Council’s next Creative Collab forum on Thursday, September 3, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Camden Civic Centre.
With extensive experience across the arts, culture and creative industries, Donarski will share practical advice on current and upcoming funding opportunities, what makes a strong grant application, eligibility requirements and how local projects can connect with broader arts and cultural strategies.
Camden Mayor Therese Fedeli said the quarterly forum was about helping local artists build connections and take their creative practice further.
“Creative Collab is about creating connections and opening doors for our local artists and creative professionals,” she said.
“We want our creative community to have access to the knowledge, networks and opportunities they need to develop their ideas and take their creative practice to the next level.”
The forum also gives artists and creatives from across Camden and the wider Macarthur region an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and build valuable industry connections.
Creative Collab is open to creatives working across visual and decorative arts, performing arts, music, design and other creative industries, from those just starting out to established professionals.
“Whether you are an emerging artist preparing your first grant application or an established creative looking for new opportunities to showcase your work, I encourage you to come along, ask questions and connect with other members of our vibrant creative community,” Fedeli said.
