Pauline James inspires Invictus Quilts

Macquarie Fields Woman of the Year 2018, Pauline James, talks about her latest pet project for the Invictus Games plus what motivates her passion to help our ex-servicemen.

“The Invictus Games were started by Prince Harry, for wounded warriors. So, I decided to get
550 laundry bags made, and there will be 19 quilts, one for each country and one for Prince Harry”, she said.

Pauline doesn’t knit, sew or crotchet. “But I come up with the ideas, and have the generous support of so many ladies like the Camden Quilters Guild to help”.

She also gets quilts made for the homeless veterans. “In Australia, there’s two and half thousand of them that sleep on the street every night. When RSL New South Wales
finds them somewhere to live, we give them a quilt. And they cry because somebody cares.”
