Sydney’s innovative fashion designer Tito of Lavashe Couteur will bare his soul in Campbelltown next week as Pieces of Me hits the green carpet in a merry melange of role models, culturally inspired styles and personal stories.
“It’s a journey from where I come from, Samoa. We have our own patterns, our own designs, our own way of making things. I’m bringing those pieces of my journey, pieces of my culture and putting it together with the culture I find in Australia,” Tito explains.
This designer is rather unconventional when it comes to selecting his models. “I believe that fashion is for everybody not just for models. So that’s how I pick my role models, by their struggles, their stories”, he says.
