The uniqueness, resilience and beauty of Camden township will be explored through local artists’ visions in Macarthur Art Group’s next exhibition.
Re-Discovering Camden will run from 11-13 November, in the Camden Civic Centre’s Ferguson Gallery. All members of the local community are invited to exhibit paintings and other art mediums free of charge. Prizes will be awarded to 7 winners by people’s choice and lucky draw.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity for local artists to exhibit their works of art across all mediums… and perhaps even win a prize, sell their artworks, as well as gain community recognition,” the group’s President Jo Wong said.
Mayor of Camden Therese Fedeli will officiate at the prize-giving award lunch on Sunday 13th November at 12noon.
Macarthur Art Group has been running the ‘Successful Exhibiting’ public arts program supported by the Camden Council Community Grant Scheme since March this year. Re-Discovering Camden is the concluding event within this program that fosters the local arts and cultural scene through inclusion and cohesion.
Registration of interest to participate and/or exhibit is open until Sunday the 6th November.
