Camden is gearing up to celebrate this year’s Refugee Week with a unifying experience for all ages!
On Friday the 25th of June, 6:30-8:30pm, residents are invited to a free ‘Share a Meal, Share a Story’ session hosted by Camden Council at Oran Park Library. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear stories from locals with a refugee or migrant background, and enjoy creative performances, screenings, and different cultural foods throughout the night.
The event aims to provide local residents such as Gheti Rezaee (pictured with Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli), who moved from Afghanistan to Pakistan as a 1-year-old before migrating to Australia, with feelings of belonging and security in Camden.
To book your spot, head to trybooking.com/BRVML or call 4654 7777. For more info, visit camden.nsw.gov.au and search ‘Refugee Week’.
