While summer may technically be over, Camden’s popular water play spaces are staying open until the end of April, giving families more time to cool off and enjoy the sunshine.
Camden Council confirmed that both the Dawson-Damer Water Play Space and Curry Reserve Water Play Space will remain open for the coming weeks.
Mayor of Camden Therese Fedeli said warm autumn days mean locals can keep making the most of the outdoor facilities.
“We all know summer stretches a little longer in Camden – our locals love enjoying our water play spaces and outdoor facilities on beautiful sunny days that last well beyond February,” she said.
Dawson-Damer offers more than just water fun, featuring water spinners, a ninja warrior course, swings, trampolines, basketball facilities and picnic areas.
Meanwhile, Curry Reserve’s large splash pad boasts 36 interactive features designed to provide inclusive, accessible fun for children of all ages.
“Both Dawson-Damer and Curry Reserve Water Play Spaces will stay open until the end of April, and our other play spaces remain open and operations as normal,” Fedeli said.
“I encourage our residents to enjoy the spaces close to them and make memories together. Before we know it, we’ll be counting down the days until next summer!”
For those looking to take the plunge, Camden also offers three major aquatic centres, Oran Park Leisure Centre, Mount Annan Leisure Centre, and Camden War Memorial Pool, each providing a range of pools and family-friendly facilities.
