Moorebank Sports Club has made a historic $250,000 commitment to Liverpool Women’s Shelter, becoming its Foundation Partner for the next five years.
The landmark pledge will support safe accommodation and critical services for women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
“Domestic and family violence does not discriminate,” Sporties CEO Jeff Gibbs said.
“It affects our neighbours, our families, our workplaces and our wider community.”
He said the club “could not stand on the sidelines” and wanted to make a long-term commitment that created real impact.
Liverpool Women’s Shelter Chairperson Cheryl Macnaught said the partnership was a powerful show of community leadership.
“We are deeply thankful to Sporties for standing alongside us and demonstrating such a strong commitment to our mission,” she said.
The partnership will help women and children rest, recover and rebuild their lives with safety, hope and dignity.
