Communities across Australia are being called to roll up their sleeves for a cleaner, healthier tomorrow as registrations open for The Great Spring Clean Up 2025.
The much-loved national initiative, run by Clean Up Australia in partnership with Bupa, is set to return this September and October, offering a fresh chance for people to unite for cleaner streets, parks, and waterways.
“Spring is synonymous with heading outdoors to enjoy the warmer weather, but it is also right before severe weather season kicks in around our country,” said Pip Kiernan, Chair of Clean Up Australia.
“This makes it a vital time to try and remove as much litter as we can from our waterways and environment.”
The initiative follows the success of Clean Up Australia Day in March and encourages individuals, families, schools, councils and businesses to contribute to creating healthier cities and a healthier planet.
Bupa’s Roger Sharp added, “Through our partnership with Clean Up Australia, we’re taking action together to clean up our public spaces and encourage active volunteering, so people have the best chance of living healthier lives.”
Free Clean Up kits, complete with gloves, bags and guides, are available for volunteers, with tailored packs for individuals, families, and community groups. Businesses are encouraged to join in for a small contribution covering kit costs.
Those unable to participate can still contribute by donating, with 100% of funds going directly to Clean Up Australia’s grassroots environmental work.
