Summer Fest is bringing the fun to Wollondilly in 2022!
Wollondilly Council will be hosting a series of fun-filled community events across the Shire in 2022, thanks to funding from the NSW Government Resources for Regions program. Each event will feature amusement rides, food stalls, an outdoor movie screening, and performances by local musicians, and will be free to enter!
CEO Ben Taylor has thanked the Department of Regional NSW for the funding, and expressed his excitement for locals to be able to take part in the festivities.
“Wollondilly residents have had a challenging two years recovering from bushfires, floods, storm events and the impacts of Covid-19,” he said.
“This will be a great opportunity for locals to celebrate together in their own towns and villages. It is important to have something positive for our community to look forward to.”
The first two Summer Fest events are set to be held at Willis Park, Oakdale on Saturday 15 January 2022 and Bargo Sportsground on Friday 28 January 2022. Other events throughout the year will take place at Douglas Park Sportsground and Appin Park, as well as in The Oaks, Menangle, Tahmoor and Buxton.
Tickets for the first two events are available for purchase now on Eventbrite.com, so book yours now!
