As Australia’s arts and entertainment sector continues to recover from COVID-19, ValleyWays, a new festival in Camden announced by The Ruben’s earlier this year, has been awarded funding under the sixth batch of grants from the Morrison Government’s $200 million Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund.
The Festival has received $227,600 through Batch Six of the RISE Fund.
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said the funding would provide critical support to allow the festival to occur on February 19 at Onslow Oval.
“It’s a fantastic initiative that will bring new talent to this area and provide a boost to not only the entertainment industry but also the local economy here in Camden,” Mr Taylor said.
The Morrison Government has now allocated more than $179 million of the $200 million RISE Fund, creating 190,000+ job opportunities and expanding cultural and creative experiences for audiences across Australia.
