This week, Camden Council has launched it’s ‘We’re Stronger Together’ campaign as a reminder for the community to stay safe, stay positive, and reach out for support if needed.
The campaign will see positive messaging being installed on light pole banners and bus shelters in Camden and Oran Park. Floor stickers will also be placed in parks and playgrounds across the Camden area, with many taking the form of hopscotch and snakes and ladders games.
“We know it has been a difficult time and this campaign is a reminder to our community that we are stronger, safer and happier when we stick together,” says Mayor of Camden Therese Fedeli.
“I’ve always maintained Camden is known not only for its beautiful environment but also for its fantastic people. Let’s all make sure we stick together, support our loved ones and our neighbours, remember to concentrate on the good things in our lives and know that we will come through this period.”
Cr Fedeli also reminds residents that when leaving home, it is important to adhere to the restrictions in place and maintain social distancing and mask wearing measures.
If you come across this positive messaging on your daily walks through Camden, be sure to take a photo and upload it to social media with the hashtag #camdenlove.
